Daniel LaPoint is a U.S. Air Force veteran and insurance sales professional. After six years of service, he earned his bachelor’s degree with honors and began his sales career at USAA. In his first year, he earned two Diamond Awards for ranking in the top 0.1% company-wide in both sales and service. He is personable, client-focused and committed to a high standard of care. He now applies that same client-focused standard to building trusted relationships for a fractional accounting practice.

Who we work for

Two kinds of business that break the same way.

Trades and field service

You pay for materials and labour before the customer pays you, your margin lives at the job, the truck or the route, and the field app never quite agrees with QuickBooks.

Owner-operated, roughly 5–60 employees and 2–20 trucks, $1M–$25M, running a field-service or construction app and QuickBooks or Xero.

E-commerce brands

You pay for inventory months before a payout lands, your margin lives at the SKU and the channel, and the marketplace report never matches the deposit.

Founder-led brands on Shopify and/or Amazon, $1M–$25M, 3–30 staff, a 3PL or your own warehouse, books in QuickBooks or Xero with A2X or Link My Books.

Veteran-owned. Mission first.

MTL Services is a veteran-owned Florida firm, with partners who served in the U.S. Air Force. We bring the same standard of preparation and follow-through to your business.

We work in QuickBooks Online and Xero, HubSpot and monday.com. MTL Services is not a CPA firm: we prepare management-use financial statements, and your tax preparer and any attest provider remain your own.

Why the model

Why we cap the hours.

A flat monthly fee with no limit invites two bad outcomes. Either the work quietly expands until the firm cuts corners to stay whole, or the client gets an invoice nobody expected. Both end the relationship.

So every band carries a fixed number of included hours, from 8 on band A to 50 on band E. We log time per task and show it on a usage statement with your package. At 80% we write to you and offer three choices: defer the work, add an add-on, or bill the overage at $225/hr.

Unused hours do not roll over. The fee buys availability and outcomes, not a bank of time.
